They are also responsible for overseeing the performance of staff, conducting performance appraisals, and developing compensation and benefits plans. In India, Human Resources professionals can work in both the public and private sector, as well as in non-profit organizations. They can work in the areas of recruitment, staffing, training, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and organizational leadership. Abroad, Human Resources professionals may work in various multinational companies, either in their main headquarters or in satellite offices. They may also work in international organizations such as the United Nations or World Bank. In addition, they may work in the human resources departments of foreign universities, government agencies, and international non- profit organizations.
